1. About Giglix
Giglix ("we", "us", "the Platform") is a Zimbabwean online marketplace that connects verified employers, households, farms, construction businesses and organizations ("Employers") with verified workers, students and freelancers ("Workers") seeking temporary, casual, contract, day-labour and short-term work. By creating an account you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, legally entitled to work in Zimbabwe, and able to enter binding contracts. You agree to provide true, current and complete information during registration and verification.
3. Identity Verification
To protect both Workers and Employers we collect a National ID number, an ID document image and a selfie. By submitting these you confirm the documents are genuine and yours. We may verify, reject or revoke verification at our discretion. False or fraudulent verification submissions will result in immediate suspension.
4. Job Postings & Applications
Employers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and safety of jobs they post. Workers are solely responsible for the work they perform. Giglix is a venue — we are not an employer, employment agency, or party to any work agreement between users.
5. Payments, Commission & Receipts
Payment for completed work is arranged between Worker and Employer. Giglix calculates a platform commission and issues a digital receipt for each completed job. Commission rates and any verification or featured-listing fees are displayed in the Platform and may be updated.
6. Ratings, Reviews & Messaging
Ratings and reviews must be honest, lawful and based on a genuine work interaction. Messages sent through the Platform may be reviewed for safety, fraud-prevention and moderation purposes. Harassment, threats, hate speech, spam, scams and solicitation of payment outside agreed terms are prohibited.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not: post illegal or unsafe work; impersonate others; circumvent verification; collect payment without delivering work; refuse to pay for completed work; share another user's personal data; use the Platform for money laundering, trafficking or any criminal activity.
8. Moderation & Suspension
We may remove content, suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, applicable Zimbabwean law, or community safety. Reports may be submitted via the in-app reporting tools and will be reviewed by the moderation team.
9. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you post (job descriptions, photos, reviews, messages, profile details) and grant Giglix a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the Platform.
10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Giglix is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that any job will be filled, any payment will be made, or that any user is suitable for a given task. To the maximum extent permitted by Zimbabwean law our liability is limited to the fees you paid the Platform in the preceding 12 months.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Zimbabwe.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
